Photos: Check Out the Tree Planting at Indian Hill

Students at Indian Hill get a hands on lesson in planting trees.

At the students are learning about plants, which is a perfect time to plant a few trees.  Every student in the school used pint size shovels to prepare the ground for the new trees.  The students, teachers, principal and parent volunteers helped plant a variety of trees including dogwood.

When Tim Reymer asked the Junior Kindergarten students what a plant needs to live all the hands shot up.  They answered with sun, water and soil.  Teacher, Alane Harrington was happy to hear that the kids finally stopped referring to soil as dirt.

The learning never stops at Indian Hill.
