Wildcat Field Hockey Players to Compete in National Championships
Several University School field hockey players were chosen to compete in the USA Field Hockey Futures National Championships in June.
Several field hockey players have qualified to participate in the USA Field Hockey National Futures Championships.
After competing in the Futures Regional 10 Tournament in Denver, CO., USM’s Kendall Youngblood and Meredith Jeffers were selected to play on the Regional 10 team in the U-16 championships. Sally James was chosen to play on the Regional 10 team in the U-19 Championships. Jenna Seter was chosen as an alternate for the U-19 team.
Regional 10 encompasses field hockey players from the states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Texas, Oklahoma, Colorado, North Dakota, South Dakota, Minnesota, and Nebraska. Eleven Regional teams will play in the National Championships from June 25 to June 30, in Virginia Beach, VA., the site of the USA Field Hockey National Training Center. A National team from each age level will be selected at the end of the National Tournament.
