Citizen's Police Academy Starting Up in October

Learn crime scene investigation, Operating While Intoxicated enforcement, firearms and more.

There is plenty of space left for the upcoming Fox Point, Bayside, and River Hills Citizen Police Academy.

The academy starts on Oct. 6 and runs through Nov. 17. Classes are held at the from 6:30 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., with one Saturday class on Oct. 29 from 9 a.m. to noon at the .

Topics will include recruitment and hiring, training, crime scene investigation, Operating While Intoxicated enforcement, firearms, use of force, traffic stops, and a ride along. If you live or work in the villages of Fox Point, River Hills or Bayside and are 21 years old or older, you are eligible to attend. The Citizens Police Academy is free to attend and hands-on participation is not required.
