13th Annual Amphibian Search at the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest

13th Annual Amphibian Search at the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest

Saturday, May 4 from 9:00–12:00pm

It’s that time of the year again. The frogs are back and so is the search for them. Join SANC’s amigo of the anurans(frogs) and chum of the chelonians(turtles) Jim Hyatt as we put on hip waders and stroll through special breeding ponds. We’ll use strainers and nets to catch frogs, toads, salamanders, and tadpoles. Jim will give us the ins and outs for all of the species that we find. We will meet at the nature center in the Southern Kettle Moraine State Forest at 9:00 AM. SANC will provide the waders. A map and list of things to bring will be mailed upon enrollment.
