Free Showing of "War Horse"

The Glendale Senior Citizens' Club will watch "War Horse" in the clubroom on the lower level. Adapted from the children's novel of the same name by Michael Morpurgo, the film centers on the testing of a young man's faith and heart when the horse he has trained and ridden since boyhood is sold to the British Army at the start of World War I. Directed by Steven Spielberg, the movie received six Academy Award nominations, including "Best Picture." Nonmembers are always welcome at club events.
