Fox Point Trustees Expected to OK Flood Work Tuesday

Board also to review recommendations on Bridge Lane Ravine Footbridge.

The Fox Point Village Board Tuesday is expected to take action on awarding contracts for the in an effort to prevent future flooding problems.

The board, which meets at 7 p.m. at 7200 N. Santa Monica Blvd., is likely to vote on four flood-related projects totaling more than $130,000:

  • An $81,368 contract to C.W. Purpero Inc. for the mitigation of the Beach Drive hill ditch storm water project in Basin No. 5.
  • A $27,735 contract to Kapur & Associates for the inspection of the basin.
  • Another contract to Kapur for $12,556 for the rehabilitation of Beach Drive stormwater structures. 
  • A $12,900 contract to Strand Associates to perform additional stormwater modeling.

The board on Tuesday also will receive an update from village staff and a report on design and construction options for the .

Trustees also will consider five claims of excessive assessments on properties will be considered and possibly decided on by the village. The properties include 7212 N. Crossway Rd., 1451 E. Goodrich Ln., 7228 N. Beach Dr., 6868 N. Barnett Ln. and 6516 N. Lake Dr.

The Village Board will convene in closed session to confer with legal counsel regarding those claims and could reconvene in open session to take action on them.
