Hands-On Learning at Reptile Day at Wehr Nature Center

Come meet snakes, turtles, and lizards, up close and personal at Wehr Nature Center's Reptile Day! Families will see and learn about a variety of reptiles and amphibians from Wisconsin and around the world on Sunday, June 9th from 1-4 p.m.

Visitors will have the opportunity to touch or hold some of the animals.   “A lot of misinformation about these cold-blooded creatures still prevails,” said Howard Aprill, Wehr Nature Center Naturalist. “For example, you cannot get warts from a toad. Through this program we’ll put these rumors to rest.”

Reptile-themed make-and-take crafts will be available for kids and kids at heart. Refreshments will be available for purchase as well.  Families are also encouraged to explore the trails of Wehr in search of resident reptiles.

ADMISSION:
$2 per person
$1 per Friends of Wehr member
Parking is $3 per car.
