Honor Local Volunteers - Volunteers of Oz Event
Mark your calendar for Excellence in Volunteering - Volunteers of Oz event: April 13 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center.
Volunteers make our community a great place to live: community agencies can serve those most in need, local food pantries distribute food, hotlines answer crisis calls, domestic violence centers shelter those with no safe place to go, children are mentored and homebound seniors have nutritious meals delivered. Volunteers play a vital role in keeping our community safe, healthy and beautiful.
Please join the Volunteer Center in honoring those who volunteer their time and talents to make our community better. The Volunteers of Oz–Excellence in Volunteering Event will be held on April 13, 2016 at the Cedarburg Cultural Center. We will be awarding the Kapco Volunteer of the year, We Energies Agency of the Year, PWSB Student Volunteer of the Year and Kohler Credit Union Young Philanthropist of the Year. If you know of someone who exemplifies service to our community through volunteerism or an outstanding community agency, please nominate them to receive recognition.
In addition to the awards presentation, the Volunteers of Oz–Excellence in Volunteering event includes a delicious dinner, raffle, Wizard of Oz costume contest, Twitter contest and more.
