Illinois Duo Faces Charges After Planning Fraudulent Spending Spree Across State
Two men from Illinois reportedly defrauded cell phone stores across the state of thousands of dollars - recently passed through Glendale.

WISCONSIN -- Two Illinois men are facing up to 13 felony forgery charges in addition to others after authorities in Wisconsin caught the duo planning a fraudulent credit card spending spree on across the state.
On October 28, the Brown County Sheriff's office responded to a panic alarm at a Cellcom store located at 2360 Costco Way in the Village of Bellevue near Green Bay, Wis. Cellcom reported that individuals were attempting to purchase electronics using fraudulent cards. Subsequent investigation identified two individuals that arrived in a 2016 Dodge Charger. The suspect's vehicle was confirmed stolen out of Ohio.
According to sheriff's officials, the two individuals were identified via Illinois ID cards as Dwayne Mays, Jr. and Mykal Hasan Howard. Several fraudulent financial transaction cards were recovered from Howard and Mays and vehicle. Numerous cards had the name of James Curry on them. Howard and Mays refused to speak with investigators and were jailed.

Cellcom further reported that these same two individuals were successful in obtaining thousands of dollars’ worth of merchandise from two separate locations in Sheboygan, Wis. on October 20. Several transactions show Howard setting up the accounts and Mays paying for these accounts.
On Oct. 28, the two individuals made attempts to purchase merchandise using fraudulent cards from Cellcom locations in Two Rivers, Wis. and Manitowoc, Wis. but were unsuccessful in doing so.

Evidence recovered in the stolen vehicle and information obtained from Cellcom suggests that the individuals planned on targeting Cellcom locations in Pulaski, Wis and Appleton, Wis.
Mays was found in possession of a room key from a Motel 6 located in Glendale, Wis. It was learned that a subject by the name of James Curry had checked out on the morning of Oct. 28. The individual stayed in the room for one night and paid using cash.
