Nicolet Rec. Dept. Offering "Improving Your Balance"
Exercises can be adapted to students of all fitness levels, and students will work at their own pace.

In the US, falls are the leading cause of injury for people over 65. Our balance systems start to erode after the age of 40, so now is the time to start balance training to stay steady into old age. The class will incorporate easy to learn balance exercises based on the practice the Alexander Technique, a method of movement education that has been shown to improve coordination in the body generally and to increase balance and mobility. Exercises can be adapted to students of all fitness levels, and students will work at their own pace. The class is not necessarily limited to seniors.
