Officers Arrest Man After He Led High-Speed Chase Through North Shore at 90 MPH
A Milwaukee man led police on a high-speed chase through the North Shore, only to have officers outsmart the speeding driver.

FOX POINT, WI — A Milwaukee man led police on a high-speed chase through the North Shore, only to have officers outsmart the speeding driver by finding out where he was staying - and catching him there.
A police officer on patrol in the North Shore saw a black sedan pass his squad car traveling at a high rate of speed on Thu. Feb. 9, on the 7700 Block of North Port Washington Road. The vehicle was traveling approximately 45 MPH in a 35 MPH zone.
According to the criminal complaint, the officer got behind the vehicle and activated his emergency lights and sirens, only to have the driver of the vehicle increase its speed and pull away from the officer, reaching 90 MPH.

Bayside police spotted the vehicle traveling northbound on North Port Washington Road. The officer was able to get behind the vehicle and activate his emergency lights and sirens, but the vehicle was not stopping. Police terminated the pursuit after six-tenths of a mile, but obtained the vehicle's registration information - it would come in handy.
According to his criminal complaint, the vehicle's registration information led them to a man named Pernell Evans, who, it would turn out, was staying at an address in Brown Deer.

According to police, upon police arrival to the Brown Deer address, they located the vehicle, with its lights still on and warm to the touch. Brown Deer officer made contact with the occupants of the location, which included Evans, where he was taken into custody.
