Nicolet wins six of seven flights to outduel rival Whitefish Bay
The Nicolet Knights girls tennis team won the Greenfield Sectional on Thursday, taking six of the seven flights to outpoint rival Whitefish Bay and qualify for the WIAA team tournament, Oct. 21-22 in Madison.
Nicolet had 54 points, 13 better than the Blue Dukes. The Knights will face Middleton at 5:30 p.m. Oct. 21 in the quarterfinals.
Sectional winners were Nina Gerard (No. 2 singles), Emma Wathen (No. 3 singles), Josie Docalavich (No. 4 singles); Erin Miller/Sara Miller (No. 1 doubles), Erin Wathen/Michelle Margolies (No. 2 doubles); and Claire Maxon/Mercedes Halaska (No. 3 singles).

Emily Mone was runner-up at No. 1 singles.
