North Shore fire and police departments team up to focus on crime prevention and fire safety.
It's not every day that you can sit in a squad car or fire truck, shake hands with McGruff, the Crime Dog, or dress up like a firefighter.
Those were just some of the events that took place at the 30th annual Safety Days at the Bayshore Town Center, where North Shore fire and police departments got their message out to the public about the importance of staying safe.
The event gave families a chance to learn more about crime prevention, fire safety and what to do in an emergency - and to have a little fun while doing so.
