Photos: Nicolet High School 2011 Homecoming Dance

was buzzing with homecoming fun and activity Saturday night as hundreds of students chatted and danced the night away. This year's Disney theme inspired several students to arrive in costume as their favorite character, including several Tinkerbells and Minnie-mouses among the crowd.

While many remember traditional homecoming dances with a king and queen, long, elegant dresses and coursages, it's a different story at Nicolet. 

There's no homecoming king or queen at this dance, just a steady supply of trendy music and many students enjoying the evening in groups rather than couples.

However, one thing that hasn't changed over the years is the school spirit homecoming brings each year.

Nicolet had contests and competitions throughout the week, including Disney trivia, power-puff football and costume contests.

In the end, the senior class won the overall Spirit week competition.
