Road Resurfacing in Bayside, FEMA Projects and More Work on Brown Deer Road
Street improvement projects will pulverize and reshape many current roads.

As part of the long range capital improvement program, the Village of Bayside will be resurfacing several roads, including all of Bayside Drive, a portion of Tennyson Drive, and West Ellsworth Lane from Santa Monica Boulevard to Iroquois Road.
The projects will consist of pulverizing and shaping the existing pavement and base, overlaying with new asphalt pavement, as well as restoring the existing stone shoulder, and replacing some culvert pipes. For more information on the these projects, view the resident letter.
FEMA Projects
As a result of last years' flooding, FEMA will be funding repair project throughout the Village. For more information, view the resident letter.
Brown Deer Road
Wisconsin Department of Transportation is preparing to finish all Brown Deer Road bridge and Interstate 43 construction work. The work that will be completed is along I-43, including the on-ramps, Brown Deer Road, and final landscaping. Work remaining includes:
- Complete curb and gutter along southbound I-43 at Brown Deer Road north and south of new barrier wall.
- Switch traffic back to original lane condition along I-43 project wide.
- Paint pavement markings on I-43 project wide.
- Finish grading below bridges (at Brown Deer Road and at Good Hope Road) and complete landscaping.
- Asphalt paving of shoulders along I-43 by barrier wall at Bridge location northbound and southbound.
- Complete new beam guard crash cushions at barrier wall along I-43 at Brown Deer Road.
- Miscellaneous signing project wide.
- Restore two light pole hits on the brown Deer Road I/C.
- Restoration and clean up.
