Tree Trimmers Pruning Bayside Tree Canopies

Most pruning happening in winter months when trees are dormant.

Each year, village crews utilize a rented bucket truck to maintain the tree canopy and sight lines of the landscape within the village right-of-way.

Often, trees left unkept for several years can cause clearance issues with village vehicles such as snow plows, garbage trucks, delivery vehicles, etc. Branches and other landscape is also cleared to ensure motorists and pedestrians can see regulatory signs throughout Bayside. Work also involves ensuring that at intersections are clear and vehicular traffic is able to see an adequate distance to ensure safe travel throughout Bayside. Most of the work is done during winter months, while trees are in their dormant stages.

Crews receive proper pruning and damaged tree identification by trained arborists prior to pruning activities. When possible, crews notify homeowners in advance of work being performed in front of their homes. Work is only done on trees within the village right-of-way.
