Margeaux Hagemann of has been recognized as a First Team All-American by US Lacrosse.
Hagemann is one of only three Wisconsin players to be chosen for this prestigious honor. A US Lacrosse All-American player is one who exhibits superior skills and techniques as well as possessing exceptional game sense and knowledge while embodying good sportsmanship. These players are considered to be the most elite group of lacrosse players and only a small percentage of the nearly 100,000 high school girls who play lacrosse are selected. This year marks Wisconsin’s inaugural US Lacrosse All-American class, putting Hagemann in a historic group.
USM’s girls lacrosse coach Samantha Adey was elated, “I couldn't be more proud of Margeaux. This is a true testament to how hard she has worked the past three years. I am so excited to see her honored for this hard work and dedication.”
Hagemann was also among the five USM girls lauded as Academic All-Americans by US Lacrosse. The other honorees are seniors Carol Walker, Victoria Edmonds and Claire Prewitt, and junior Riley Kelly.
Editor's Note: Thomas Geilfuss is the sports information coordinator for USM.
