Car Struck By Gunfire In Franklin Parking Lot: Police

Franklin Police Department said they are investigating a shots fired incident that took place Nov. 5 in a parking lot on Rawson Ave.

FRANKLIN, WI β€” The Franklin Police Department is investigating a shots fired incident that took place Nov. 5 in a parking lot on 7200 Rawson Avenue, according to a news release from the department.

Police responded to the area around 10:30 p.m. that night, but the suspected shooter left the scene before police arrived. One occupied vehicle in the lot was struck by the gunfire. An occupant was hit by flying glass from the gunshots but the injuries were minor and they were treated at a nearby hospital, the news release said.

Nobody else was injured in the incident. Police said they are still investigating and that the incident was isolated.
