Fire At Child Care Center Playground 'Suspicious': Report

FRANKLIN, WI — Franklin Fire Department Chief Adam Remington called an Oct. 10 playground fire at Ingenious Child Care Center in Franklin "obviously suspicious," The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel reported.

Remington told Patch "it is suspicious in that it was a stand-alone structure with no other obvious ignition sources."

Firefighters arrived at the playground swing set fire early that afternoon as it was raining, the report said. Chief Remington said lighting is also a possible culprit for the fire, but other than that, the incident was deemed suspicious and is under investigation, Remington told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.
