Man Slapped Umbrella Bar Bartender: Police

FRANKLIN, WI β Franklin Police Department said they took a Germantown man into custody for disorderly conduct Sunday after he reportedly slapped a bartender, took his phone, shouted vulgarities and caused a disturbance at the bar.
The incident happened around 1 a.m. Sunday, police said.

- A residential burglary was reported to police on Saturday. Officers were told the burglary happened sometime between Oct. 20 and 22. Officers say someone broke into the home on 7200 S. North Cape Road, rummaged through the house and took money.
- Police said Menard's reported a man entered the store around 8 p.m. on Oct. 21 and stole over $800 of merchandise. The man filled a cart with various power tools and then left without paying for them, Menard's reported to police.
- Someone at Franklin High School was cited for possession of THC after police say they found a THC oil vaping device on him, police said.
- Franklin police said that on Oct. 20 officers located a vehicle reported as stolen near 27th Street and Sycamore, a tan minivan. Police attempted a traffic stop, but police say the minivan led them on a pursuit. The vehicle crashed at the park and ride in Oak Creek at College Avenue and the driver fled on foot. Police say the driver was not located.
- Oct. 20 a Franklin resident reported to police he was being apparently blackmailed. According to police: The resident told police that someone captured videos of him nude during a Zoom meeting without consent, a felony. The unknown person who took the photos threatened to send them to the victim's friends and demanded $500, police said. Police told the man to avoid contact with the suspect and to not send him any money.
