Resident Says He Was Kidnapped, Brought To Glendale: Police

FRANKLIN, WI — Among the most recent Franklin Police Department call logs: A resident told police he was robbed and kidnapped then brought to Glendale, another Franklin resident apparently lost $800 in a gift card scam, a man was arrested after leading police on a chase, and more.

Franklin Resident Said He Was Kidnapped

Franklin police said they were contacted by police in Glendale on Oct. 28 about a potential kidnapping. According to Franklin police, the victim said someone held him at gunpoint at his residence around 11 p.m. the night before and demanded keys to his car.
The victim was then forced into the car and the two drove around the north side of Milwaukee for about two hours until the victim was released in Glendale, police said.

Resident Lost $800 In Gift Card Scam
A resident on 7800 Coventry told police she fell victim to a gift card scam online, according to call logs. Police said the victim received an email from "A M A Z O N" telling her there was a problem with her account.
The woman called an apparently fraudulent representative for the company and then handed over the numbers to four gift cards totaling $800, logs said.
Stolen Vehicle Located After Police Chase
Call logs show that on Oct 28 around 2 a.m. police attempted to pull over a car for speeding on 9200 Loomis Road. Officers said they lost sight of the vehicle and the pursuit was terminated.
Police said that shortly after the chase, someone called and said the suspect car was in their back yard on Imperial Drive and that two people, a man and a woman, were fleeing the scene. The woman was found and arrested in connection with obstructing, prowling, possession of THC, destruction of property and possession of drug paraphernalia.
Around 5 p.m. the driver of the vehicle was found at 5040 W. Rawson Avenue. He was arrested in connection with a body-only warrant from the Waukesha County Sheriff's Office and in connection with fleeing/eluding, operating without owners consent, criminal damage to property and resisting/obstructing an officer.
Firearms Stolen
Police said a Franklin resident reported three firearms were stolen between Oct. 4 and Oct. 25 from his residence on 7900 S Scepter Drive.
Franklin High School Student Cited For Battery
Police call logs show on Oct. 26 a Franklin High School student was cited with battery in connection with striking another student in the face.
