• Grafton neighbors react to long-awaited Bridge Street Dam repair timeline (tmj4.com) — Grafton residents can expect work on the partially failed Bridge Street Dam to start as soon as late October, after the village approved a $282,000 repair contract. Neighbors who live and walk near the dam say they're relieved a 60-day construction timeline is finally in sight, hoping repairs restore river levels before winter sets in.
• Giving children a place to sleep (ozaukeepress.com) — Families in Grafton with children who lack a bed can now apply for free, brand-new beds through the new Ozaukee County chapter of Sleep in Heavenly Peace, which just held its first build at Mueller Funeral Home in town. Volunteers constructed eight beds for kids in Grafton and nearby communities, with monthly builds planned and a growing stockpile to meet future requests quickly.
• Bryant & Stratton JC Scout Day: Takeaways (prepbaseballreport.com) — A Grafton outfielder, freshman Zach Plier, turned heads at Bryant & Stratton's JC Scout Day with standout speed, power, and arm strength that could earn him immediate playing time. The showcase in Oconomowoc highlighted several Wisconsin prospects and promoted upcoming fall ID events around the state for players looking to get noticed.
