Green Bay commission gives 'demolition by neglect' designation to Dousman St building (wtaq.com) — Green Bay's Landmarks Commission has labeled 402 Dousman Street a "demolition by neglect" property, giving the city power to order safety repairs at the owner's expense. The long-vacant historic building has drawn complaints for years, and officials now plan a repair order aimed at saving the century-old structure.
   

2. Sheriff's Office seeks help after fatal Highway 172 crash (nbc26.com) — Brown County deputies are asking Green Bay–area residents for help finding witnesses to a fatal crash on westbound Highway 172 over the Fox River Saturday night. A 20-year-old Allouez motorcyclist died, and a 20-year-old Green Bay man and 75-year-old Green Bay woman driving separate vehicles were also involved; anyone with information is urged to contact Sgt. K. Von Loh.
   

3. Elmore Elementary sold for $450K to private buyer, unnamed development (greenbaypressgazette.com) — Elmore Elementary on Ethel Avenue in Green Bay has been sold by the Green Bay School Board to private buyer SaiQuantum LLC for $450,000 after a year-long, unsuccessful search for residential developers with the city. The closed school will be used for an unspecified "development project," while Tank Elementary on Oakland Avenue remains on the market as part of the district's broader consolidation.
   

4. Salvation Army to host One Stop School Shop for Green Bay students (wbay.com) — Families in Green Bay can pick up free backpacks, school supplies, and connect with local resources today at the One Stop School Shop, running 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the Kroc Community Center. Pre-registered Brown County K-12 students can choose age-appropriate items, as The Salvation Army of Greater Green Bay takes over leadership of this large back-to-school effort.
   

5. Green Bay ophthalmologist advances global eye care (nbc26.com) — A Green Bay ophthalmologist, Dr. Annette Giangiacomo, is sharing her glaucoma expertise worldwide through repeated volunteer trips with Orbis International. From recent surgeries and training in Mongolia to mentoring doctors in low-resource countries, she's helping expand access to sight-saving care while bringing that global experience back to her Green Bay practice.
