Tammy Baldwin stopped in Green Bay to hear how local manufacturers like American Tent and Renegade Plastics are navigating tariffs and trade uncertainty. She criticized federal trade and foreign policy for raising equipment costs, while one local executive described confusing directives from Washington that make it harder to grow and work with partners worldwide.

Scott's Industrial Coatings merges with Arizona company to create UltiCoat (insightonbusiness.com) — A Green Bay industrial mainstay, Scott's Industrial Coatings, has merged with Arizona's Perfection Industrial Finishing under a new brand, UltiCoat, backed by Madison Lake Capital. Operations and staff at the 64,000-square-foot Green Bay facility will remain in place, while local manufacturers gain access to expanded metal-finishing capabilities and a streamlined, single-vendor relationship spanning Wisconsin and Arizona.

Some Wisconsin trees start turning early as drought and heat may shift fall color timing (fox11online.com subscription) — Green Bay residents can expect fall colors to peak around the third week of October, but this year's heat and developing drought may make leaves change earlier and fade faster. A recent 90-degree record on Sept. 1 and ongoing dryness are stressing trees, which could shorten the viewing window across Northeast Wisconsin.
   

4. Triumph Has Talked About New Music (katsfm.com) — Triumph is extending its Rock & Roll Machine Reloaded tour and will bring the reunited lineup to Green Bay's Resch Center on November 24. Fans can expect an upgraded indoor arena show with lasers, pyro tweaks, and a set shaped by the band's successful first tour leg, plus hints of future documentaries and official live bootleg releases.
   

5. $5,000 gift honors late angler, funds Fox River shoreline improvements in Green Bay area (fox11online.com) — Anglers in the Green Bay area can look forward to improved Fox River shoreline access at the Brown County Fairgrounds, funded by a $5,000 memorial donation for local fisherman Preston Yindra. The project, led by the Bay of Green Bay Chapter of Walleyes for Tomorrow, will create new spawning grounds named Preston's Point to honor his love of fishing and the outdoors.
