From Guatemala to Green Bay: Mi Favorita owner opens second supermarket location (wearegreenbay.com) — A longtime Green Bay resident and former teacher has opened a second Mi Favorita Supermarket on West Mason Street, expanding grocery options and jobs on the city's west side. The larger store offers a full meat department, deli, and expanded Latin American produce, reflecting the city's growing Latino community while keeping the original East Mason Street location open.
   

2. WPS career fair connects students with the people behind the energy used every day (wbay.com) — High school students from Green Bay West got hands-on experience with energy careers at a WPS-led career fair in Green Bay, exploring jobs from line work to drone and thermal camera use. Organizers hope the event helps teens understand in-demand skills as an aging utility workforce nears retirement and new workers are needed to keep homes, hospitals, and businesses powered.
   

3. Missing teen considered endangered without medication, last seen in Combined Locks (wtaq.com) — Authorities are asking Green Bay–area residents to watch for 16-year-old Caden Gruse, a missing teen with a medical condition who may have ties to Green Bay or Milwaukee after last being seen in Combined Locks on August 25. Because he's believed to be without necessary medication, the Outagamie County Sheriff's Office urges anyone with information to call 920-832-5000.
   

4. Commutation hearing for jeweler's convicted killer reopens family's grief (wbay.com) — A Green Bay-area family is reliving painful memories as the state's Commutation Advisory Board considers a reduced sentence for a woman convicted in the 2002 killing of jeweler Doug Tappa. His daughter is urging state officials to give victims and their families a stronger voice in commutation decisions, especially in violent cases with lasting community impact.
   

5. Registration Open for 'Tundra Tales' Reading Program (urbanmilwaukee.com) — Families and teachers in Green Bay can now register kids in 4K through fifth grade for the Packers' Tundra Tales at-home reading program, which runs in October and November. Classrooms that hit reading goals can earn $100 literacy grants, with larger schools eligible for $1,000 awards, all funded by Green Bay Packers Give Back for Wisconsin schools.
