• Hometown Heroes: Green Bay honors POWs and service members missing in action (wearegreenbay.com) — Green Bay residents recently gathered to honor prisoners of war and service members still missing in action, including a pilot from the city who never returned from Vietnam. The annual POW-MIA remembrance ceremony, led by Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 224, highlighted ongoing efforts to recover missing soldiers and offered support to families still waiting for answers.
• Golden Girls, Packerettes, and Sideliners: The Packers cheerleaders who never lost their bond (wearegreenbay.com) — In Green Bay, more than 50 former Packers cheerleaders have reunited through the Green Bay Professional Football Cheerleaders Alumni Chapter, keeping their bond alive long after game days. The group now channels its spirit into local fundraisers, volunteer projects, and support for one another, and is inviting former Golden Girls, Packerettes, and Sideliners to reconnect via email.
• Pakistani cookbook from Wisconsin chef, English musician's love affair with Milwaukee, How the Packers became more than a football team (wpr.org) — A new book by Appleton's Tom Nelson digs into how the Green Bay Packers grew from a small-town team into a fan-owned powerhouse that now pumps an estimated half-billion dollars into the greater Green Bay area each year.
