2018 China Lights Lantern Festival In Final Weekend

Organizers say the closing weekend will offer a variety of giveaways.

MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI -- The 2018 China Lights Lantern Festival at Boerner Botanical Gardens will be turning out the lights on Oct. 28 and organizers want to remind the public that all tickets printed with end date of Oct. 21, are good through Oct. 28. A limited number of tickets are still available for purchase.

Organizers say the closing weekend will offer a variety of giveaways. Friday through Sunday, the first 500 visitors each day will receive the official China Lights drawstring backpack and buy-one-get-one coupons for dinner and a movie at BistroPlex Southridge.

The 2018 China Lights Panda-Mania features 41 larger-than-life sculptural lantern displays that illuminate nine acres of Milwaukee’s Boerner Botanical Gardens in Whitnall Park. Whitnall Park is located at 9400 Boerner Drive in Hales Corners. The event runs from 5:30–10 p.m. daily through Sunday. The event officially closes Sunday, Oct. 28, 2018 at 10 p.m.

China Lights e-tickets can be purchased online at chinalights.org. The e-ticket can be scanned from a print copy or directly from a phone. Traditional hard-copy tickets may be purchased in person at Boerner Botanical Gardens and at major Milwaukee County Parks golf courses.
