3 Men Stage Brazen Armed Robbery in Greendale; Rob Man at Gunpoint with 'AK47'

A 17-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested and charged after a police say the young man participated in a brazen robbery in Greendale.

GREENDALE, WI — A 17-year-old Milwaukee man has been arrested and charged after a police say the young man participated in a brazen robbery in Greendale, in which he and two others broke into a victim's apartment and robbed him at gunpoint.

Greendale Police spoke with the victim, who told officers that on January 18, he had been inside his apartment on the 6700 block of Greenway watching a movie.

According to the criminal complaint, there was a knock on the door and when he opened it, three males, including 17-year-old Charles Wilson, pushed their way into his apartment. One of them put a gun, similar to an AK47 into his chest and pushed him back onto the couch.

The complaint stated that one of the men patted him down and took his cellphone, a Samsung Galaxy J7, from his pocket. The third person roamed around the apartment and he didn’t see him take anything. Also taken from on top of the dinner table was his wallet which had ID, a debit card and $900 in it. They also took the keys to his apartment.

The victim told authorities that he had arranged to purchase $300 of Marijuana from “Raymond” at his apartment. He had texted his address to “Raymond," the complaint stated.

According to the complaint, the victim told police he received a phone call from “Raymond” who said he was at the apartment. He was supposed to meet “Raymond” in the parking lot, but there as a knock on the door and when he answered it, they “bum rushed” in.

Police reported that they spoke with Wilson who said that he has known “Raymond” since 5th grade. He admitted that he drove to the residence and that the three of them went into the apartment. "Raymond” knocked on the door and then "stuff happened."

According to the complaint, Wilson denied having a gun but said that “Raymond” had some sort of rifle and the other guy had a handgun. He said that “Raymond” kept the wallet, keys and cellphone from the robbery. He said but he didn’t know the other guy.

Detectives reports that the victim positively identified a photograph from a photographic sequence, of “Raymond” as the person (a juvenile) who put the gun to his chest.
