Having an opportunity to meet a real, live author is a great way to connect students to books.
Greendale Middle School 8th graders recently enjoyed a morning with author Amy Timberlake, courtesy of Boswell Books. Timberlake shared information about her books and her life as an author.
Her latest book, One Came Home, has earned great reviews from Kirkus, The Horn Book, School Library Journal, and The Bulletin of the Center for Children's Books. Timberlake spoke to GMS students about her passion for "birding" and told how that evolved into her book One Came Home. Her other published works include the picture book titled The Dirty Cowboy and the novel That Girl Lucy Moon.
