Board Break-A-Thon At Southridge Mall This Saturday

This Martial Arts event to raise money for childhood cancer research.

GREENDALE, WI - From Southridge Mall: Boards will be breaking and martial arts skills will be on full display this Saturday, February 17, at Southridge Mall – and all for a good cause.

Southridge Mall is hosting the 24th Annual J.K. Lee Board Break-a-thon, an event put on by the J.K. Lee Black Belt Academy to raise money for childhood cancer research. Each participant will be given five boards to break, and a pledge is made for each board. There will be hourly martial arts demonstrations as well.

This year, the academy is teaming up with the Midwest Athletes Against Childhood Cancer (MACC) Fund with the goal of raising $50,000. Since the event first began 24 years ago, the academy has raised more than $850,000 for childhood cancer research.
