Bruce Jenner: Becoming Nothing
From one stereotype to another, following your feelings is empty.

The internet is full of videos capturing accidents. Many harmless and even humorous, but some record incidents of extreme carnage. The kind of video that becomes uncomfortable to watch. They make you question the intentions of the person posting the video and anyone who wishes to watch. This is what has happened with the life of Bruce Jenner and the postmodern progressive movement that has recorded it for all of us to watch.
We are told to celebrate his courage. We are told that he stands for freedoms all people have a right too. Jenner’s Monroe styled magazine cover was done to prove that any man can be as beautiful as any woman, if he feels it inside. Yet, herein lies the problem and absolute corruption of the postmodernism and the transgender movement.
Society is being told that when it comes to gender, we are what we feel. Bruce Jenner, as of this moment, feels like a Caitlyn. He has reconstructed his life to fall in line with what he feels. Seemingly innocent. Just a man realizing his true nature. A culture cheering him on, not unlike the roaring crowds he heard as an Olympian. We, glued to our computers, watch hoping for the best, but knowing it can’t end well.

Three quarters of the way through the video of Jenner’s life, the climax is reached. His surgically altered body, made to appear as a stereotypical woman, splashes the cover of Vanity Fair. He is no longer Bruce Jenner and to call himself Caitlyn is nothing more than a fascade. He has become a walking nothing. The person he was is gone, the person he has become is a vessel of societal creation (ie the Monroe styled Vanity Fair cover) to hide the damaged individual inside.
For most, we squint seeing this part of the video. Not because he is repulsive or that we are bigots; rather, we know he is not the new perfection of a reproduction miss fire. Like a person wearing a mask to conceal identity, Caitlyn is the mask Bruce is hoping will hide the pain he hides behind the dress.

This has an impact beyond Bruce hoping to receive psychological help from a new pair of boobs. It means as a society, we can be whatever we feel. For example, there is a movement of people who feel disabled, transabled. We currently call it a mental disorder, but curious how that meshes with transgenders? Regardless of what ‘trans’ you associate with, as a people we are nothing more than reeds of grass blowing in the wind. As the breeze carries us left, we feel like fathers and male athletes. However, if the wind shifts we are females embracing a traditional role of women. What direction are we headed to tomorrow?
If we are nothing more than feelings, adjusting our person’s based on those feelings; we are in fact nothing. Empty flesh sacks, with an irrelevant genetic make up. Our beings determined by nothing more than a state of mind. What is the ultimate outcome of that ideology? Freedom?
If so, is Bruce Jenner now free? Well...free from what? Assuming he was chained to his emotions, suddenly realizing he was defective from conception and now creating a new outer shell to live in; he has only carved out a freedom based on society’s traditions. He is still imprisoned by his feelings. Feelings as fluid as the fame he craves.
I feel sorrow for Bruce Jenner. A man desperately searching for meaning in life and surrounded by a culture telling him that if it feels right, it is right. Even more, I feel concern for a society gleefully watching this accident with eyes wide open. Cheering on this carnage, not because we want to help the person; but because, it frees us from our own obligations. Existence (gender and everything else) is about me, my feelings and where I believe I should be. Anything else is oppression and forced conformity. Caitlyn answers to know one, but her own feelings, why should the rest of us? If society approves of an ideology where everything is acceptable, then we must approve of a society where nothing objectionable. The resulting culture is one that lives solely for perversion.
