MILWAUKEE COUNTY, WI β The popular Chinese Lantern Festival is now booked for a return engagement at Boerner Botanical Gardens.
Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele announced today that Milwaukee county officials have entered into an agreement with the Sichuan Tianyu Culture Communication Co., Ltd. in cooperation with Zigong City and the Sichuan Provincial Department of Commerce, to bring back the wildly popular China Lights, a world-class lantern festival.

This is the 2nd year the event has received grant funding through The Wisconsin Department of Tourism, Travel Wisconsinβs Joint Effort Marketing Grant Program

Β· Nearly 50 handmade, brilliantly lighted, giant-sized lantern displays β βThe show is 95 percent brand new; only the two most popular displays are returningβ
Β· More than 1,000 components will make up the themed displays
Β· Two stages for Chinese folk-culture activities, with performers from China
Β· Two dining areas and six new food vendors with a variety of Asian and Western menu options
