Clean Sweep: House Cleaner Accused of Jewelry Theft

Police say house cleaner stole because she felt she was not getting paid enough for her services.

GREENDALE - Police say that a professional house cleaner who didn't believe she was getting paid enough for her services took matters into her own hands - and it landed her in trouble

Eammy Evans, 40, Milwaukee, has been charged with one count of felony theft and could face up to 18 months behind bars if convicted.

According to her criminal complaint, Evans was a contract house cleaner when the home owner reported to Greendale police that an amethyst bracelet valued at approximately $600.

According to the complaint, the home owner claimed the total loss of additional jewelery was about $8,300, a claim that Evans denies.
