Clothing Thief Injures Store Security in Botched Theft
Police are looking for a Milwaukee man after he reportedly tried to steal more than $900 in clothing from Greendale Boston Store.

GREENDALE - Police are looking for a Milwaukee man who has been charged with theft and use of force after police say he attempted to steal more than $900 in clothing from Boston Store and injured a security officer after she tried to restrain him with a bear hug.
According to his criminal complaint, Fernando Chacon, 22, could face up to 18-and-a-half years imprisonment or up to $55,000 in fines, or both, if convicted.
Police say that Chacon attempted to carry an armful of clothing from the Greendale Boston Store in November 2015 without paying. A female loss prevention officer attempted to stop Chacon in the parking lot of the store, but police say he pushed her, causing her to fall backwards, fracturing her right wrist.

According to his criminal complaint, Chacon threw the armful of clothing on top of the loss prevention officer as she lay on the ground. According to an eyewitness, the loss prevention officer came up from behind Chacon in the parking lot and attempted to restrain him by wrapping her arms around him.
The eyewitness said Chacon attempted to get away by repeatedly swinging his elbows, resulting in striking the female officer in the nose, his complaint said.

Boston store personnel recovered the stolen merchandise, which included hoodies, hats, underwear, pants, jacket and pajama pants. The total value of the stolen merchandise was $918.50, his complaint said.
