GREENDALE -- A 27-year-old Milwaukee man is in jail after stealing more than $500 in cologne from Boston Store.

On July 9, an employee at Boston Store, 5300 S. 76th St., Greendale was notified by another employee that two men were holding boxes of merchandise, and it looked like they were about to leave without paying.

The employee approached the men and asked if they were going to pay. Both men exited the store; by that time one was no longer carrying anything, the other was carrying five gift set boxes of cologne, the complaint said.

According to police, the five boxes had a total value of $560.00; no one from the store consented to the removal of the boxes.

Police say an investigation led them to suspect that Jay Alan Boudnik, 27, Milwaukee, was the man who ran out with the boxes. Police prepared a photo line-up and showed it to the employee, who identified the defendant as the man who ran out with the boxes.
