Dr. Edwin Block from Marquette University will lead our Spring 2011 book discussion of "The History of Love," by Nicole Krauss. Dr. Block is a professor of English at Marquette. "The History of Love" is a novel spanning a period of more than 60 years, from Nazi-occupied Europe to present-day Brighton Beach. The lives of the two main characters -- Leo, who escaped SS officers in his native Poland, and Alma, a 14-year-old dealing with a depressed mother -- are woven together in incredibly complex ways.
