The 2011 Samson Stomp & Romp is almost here. The Milwaukee County Zoo's popular annual race is named for Samson the gorilla, one of its best-known residents. Funds raised by the event support all of the zoo's animals.

Advance registration fees are $17 per runner for the two adult races and $16 per runner for the chldren's races. The discounted rate for families of four or more registering together is $14 per runner. The advance registration deadline is Jan. 12. You can also register on the day of the race from 8-9 a.m.; the fee will be $20 per runner, or $16 per runner for families of four or more.
