Family Frog Frolic at Wehr Nature Center
Wehr Nature Center will present an interactive, family program about Wisconsin frogs and toads. Details here:

MILWAUKEE, WI β Wehr Nature Center will present an interactive, family program about Wisconsin frogs and toads that includes a walk to hear the βchorusingβ of frogs, April 28 and 29, from 7β9 p.m. The Nature Center is located in Whitnall Park at 9701 W. College Ave.
In early spring, some of Wehrβs tiny frogs put on quite a concert. At less than 1-1/2 inches long, the Western Chorus Frog sings loudly enough to be heard about a half mile away. Spring Peepers may join in with a sound like sleigh bells jingling, and the much larger Wood Frog may add a croaking baseline to the chorus.

Family Frog Frolic will begin with an introduction and one-on-one time with live amphibians. Then participants will join a naturalist on a walk to Wehrβs ephemeral pond. Here the frogs and toads will present themselves as harbingers of spring.
The program is designed for adults and families with children age 5 and up. Adults may bring flashlights. Because the program includes walking through wetlands and near ponds, participants are reminded to dress for the weather and the mud.
