GHS Marching Band Receives Commendation
Greendale High School's award-winning marching band is recognized for a job well-done by local school board members.

The 187 members of the Greendale High School marching band now have another feather in their caps.
The band was given a commendation by the Greendale School Board on November 7 during the board's regular meeting. Band director Tom Reifenberg, who has led the band since 2001, and several students were on hand to accept the award.
The band recently won its seventh consectutive State Championship on October 15 at UW-Whitewater. During the competition, GHS also received first place awards for best percussion, best color guard and best musical presentation.

Band members will travel to Indianapolis on November 10-12 to compete against bands from across the country in the Bands of America Grand Nationals competition.
