There's an easy way to save a life this weekend: The Greendale Step Up To Better Health Community Charity Walk.
Saturday June 21st marks the 16th anniversary of the Greendale Community Walk. Once again, you’ll be making a difference in an amazing cause: for the last five years Step Up to Better Health has teamed up with the American Brain Tumor Association for the Community Walk, sending 75% of the proceeds to the ABTA. The remaining 25% go to Step Up to Better Health initiatives right here in Greendale.
Scenic one, two, and three-mile walks are available, starting at the Greendale Gazebo at 9:00 A.M. (in person registration is available from 8:30). While many choose to walk in honor of friends or family who have suffered from brain tumors, anyone is welcome to join us just for the health of it. Registration is $15 for adults (kids under 18 are free!) and the first 100 registered walkers will receive a T-Shirt.
You can download a registration form here: http://www.greendale.org/departments/health_department/docs/flyer_2014.pdf
Several Greendale residents have been impacted by brain tumors, so this walk is incredibly personal and touching to our community.
From 9:30-11:00 that morning, there will also be a free Bike Helmet Give-Away for children ages 4-10 that live or go to school in Greendale.
