Greendale Announces Class of 2016 Valedictorians, National Merit Finalists

Jacob Malinowski, Rahul Mital, Emma Richlen, Jennifer Slota, all with cumulative grade point averages of 4.0, were honored at commencement.

GREENDALE, WIS. – Greendale Schools has announced its Valedictorians for the graduating Class of 2016. Jacob Malinowski, Rahul Mital, Emma Richlen, Jennifer Slota, all with cumulative grade point averages of 4.0, were recognized at the commencement ceremony on Sunday, June 12, at 1:00 p.m., at Stephen J. Gavinski Stadium on the high school grounds.

Jacob Malinowski and Rahul Mital have also been named National Merit Finalists by the National Merit Scholarship Corporation (NMSC), the organization managing the national program recognizing scholastically talented seniors.

Malinowski is the son of Mark and Carol Malinowski of Greendale. He will attend Yale University, New Haven, Connecticut, next fall. Mital is the son of Mayank and Anupama Mital of Greendale. He will attend the University of Wisconsin­Madison next fall. Richlen is the daughter of Jeff and Anna

Richlen of Greendale and will attend the University of Wisconsin­Madison next fall. Slota is the daughter of Thomas Slota of Greendale. She will attend Northwestern University, Evanston, Illinois, next fall.

Greendale High School graduated 220 students in the Class of 2016. To date, the class has earned nearly $2.1 million in scholarships.
