Greendale Buys 8 Acres Near Southridge Mall for $1.2 Million

GREENDALE -- The Village of Greendale has purchased land just east of South ridge mall in order to develop a high-end apartment complex there.

According to a report by the Milwaukee Business Journal, the Village completed the $1.2 million purchase from J.C. Penney, Corp. for the development of 8 acres of property just east of the mall.

The complex would contain 64 one-bedroom apartments, 96 two-bedroom apartments, 182 underground parking spaces and 86 surface-lot parking spaces, the Business Journal has reported.
