Greendale Man Charged with Forcing Girl to Have Sex with Him

A Greendale man allegedly had sex with a now 9-year-old girl on multiple occasions between 2008 and 2010 while he babysat her and took her to the airport to watch airplanes.

Michael A. Farrell, 49, was charged Sept. 26 in Milwaukee County Circuit Court with three counts of repeated sexual assault of a child and one count of exposing a child to harmful materials. If convicted, he faces up to 183 years imprisonment, which includes time in prison and on extended supervision.

According to the criminal complaint:

Farrell allegedly forced the girl to have sex and oral sex with him on multiple occasions while babysitting her at his residence in the 4300 block of West Ramsey Avenue and would also touch her inappropriately. The victim told police one instance happened in her own bedroom after Farrell went in and forced her to have sex with him.

Farrell also forced the girl to watch pornographic movies on other occasions in his residence between sexual assaults.

On at least seven other occasions, the girl told police, Farrell drove her to an observation area at Gen. Mitchell International Airport to watch planes land, instead covered the windows of his car with cardboard and forced her to have sex.  

Farrell is being held in the Milwaukee County Jail on $7,500 cash bond.
