Greendale Middle School Recognized as 'Exemplary'

Greendale Middle School receives award for high math and reading scores.

The Association of Wisconsin School Administrators has recognized Greendale Middle School as an 'Exemplary Middle School.'

The award is given out to schools for achieving math and reading scores in the top ten percent statewide.

The achievement entitles the school to apply for a higher award, the AWSA's 'Middle School of Excellence' award. It also lists the school's name in an upcoming Department of Public Instruction press release of all exemplary schools, as well as a conference program for middle and high school level administrators to be held in Madison in February.

Greendale Middle School Principal John Weiss attributed the award to a comprehensive effort by administrators, staff and students working hard in the classroom.

The Greendale School Board also presented GMS administrators with a commendation for their achievement during the school board meeting on October 24.
