Greendale Public Works Director Suffers Fatal Heart Attack
Carl Tisonik, the long-time director of the Greendale Public Works Department, has passed away.

The Greendale Department of Public Works Director, Carl Tisonik, died suddenly on Tuesday, October 25.
Greendale Village President John Hermes has confirmed to Patch that Tisonik was at the airport on Tuesday evening when he suffered a heart attack.
Hermes says, "Carl Tisonik was a tremendously dedicated employee and leader, who will be sorely missed by an entire community."

Greendale Village Manager Todd Michaels commented that Tisonik is an example of a successful person who, through hard work and dedication, worked his way up in the department, having started as a maintenence worker in Greendale.
Tisonik worked for the village's Public Works Department for over thirty years and was scheduled to retire this year on December 16.

Carl Tisonik was 58 years old and is survived by his wife and other family members.
