Greendale Village Days Is On The Horizon

The four-day celebration returns this year on Aug. 12. Here's what to expect: Music, rummaging, food, fireworks and more.

GREENDALE, WI — Greendale's Village Days kicks off in two weeks. Opening day is Aug. 12 and festivities will continue through until Aug. 15. Here's what to expect from the celebration.

Village Days is held by the Greendale Entertainment Association and the Greendale Lions Club. The festival returns for 2020 year and is one of Greendale's biggest summer festivities of the year.

The festival will include a fireworks show, local food and beverages, family entertainment, the final part of Greendale's Battle of the Bands, a massive rummage sale and more, according to the event page.

The rummage has been sold out of space, according to a Facebook post from the Greendale Lions Club. The rummage will take place from 8 a.m.-3 p.m. at Gazebo Park on Aug. 14.

Sunday is family day with special guests, food and more, all geared toward families.

The festival will have a fish fry from the Lions Club at 4-8 p.m. the Friday of the festival.

The final performances from Greendale's Battle of the Bands will take place on Aug. 14 at the Hose Tower Stage.

Greendale Public Library will have a book sale of their own. Stop by the library during rummage on the green to check out the book sale, according to a Facebook post from the library.

Festival Schedule

Aug. 12 - Opening Day

4-8 p.m. - "Greendale's largest happy hour."

4:30 p.m. - Music from Clove at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.

7 p.m. - Hair Bangers Ball will play at the Lions Gazebo Stage.

Fireworks will shoot off near Broad Street and Brinkman Field at dusk or 8:35 p.m. on Thursday.

Aug. 13 - Day Two

3:30 p.m. - Music from the Barbara Stephen Band at the Lions Gazebo Stage.

4:15 p.m. - Music from Almighty Vinyl at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.

7 p.m. - Music from Christopher's Project: Motown Tribute at the Lions Gazebo Stage.

9 p.m. - Substitute: Tales From The Who at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.

Aug. 14 - Day Three

12 p.m. - Winners from the Battle of the Bands will play at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.

12 p.m. - Drive With Horns plays at the Lions Gazebo Stage.

3:15 p.m. - Burgundy Ties at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.

4 p.m. - Breaking Confidence at the Lions Gazebo Stage.

7 p.m. - Bella Cain at the Lions Gazebo Stage

7:30 p.m. - Zac Matthews Band at the GEA Hose Tower Stage

Division BMX Bike Team will hold performances throughout the day.

Aug. 15 - Final Day

12 p.m. - Superfly at the GEA Hose Tower Stage.
