Greendale Watch Thief Just Ran Out of Time
When police arrived, an officer observed the man running northbound in the parking lot, with a Sears loss prevention officer chasing him.

GREENDALE, WI — On December 28, 2016, approximately 1:05pm, a Greendale police officer was patrolling the Southridge Mall parking lot when he heard a dispatch from the mall security about a shoplifter at the Sears store.
According to a criminal complaint filed in Milwaukee County, when he arrived in the area, a male subject, later identified as Isaac Boyd, running northbound in the parking lot, with a Sears loss prevention officer chasing him. After a short foot chase, he was taken into custody.
When police spoke with the loss prevention officer, he reported witnessing Boyd in the jewelry department of the Sears store, acting in a suspicious manner. As he monitored Boyd, he observed him select a package containing a men’s watch from a display, the complaint stated.

Boyd took the watch out and concealed it in his gloves, which were in his hand, and he then removed a tag from the watch, while keeping it in the middle of the gloves.
According to the complaint, Boyd then walked to the lower level of the store and exited to the parking lot, without paying for the watch, which was valued at $949.99.

The loss prevention officer reported that he confronted Boyd in the parking lot and recovered the property, but he then ran from him, prior to being apprehended by police, the complaint stated.
If convicted, Boyd could face up to a year-and-a-half behind bars.
