Milwaukee Area Domestic Animal Control Commission (MADACC) is excited to announce it will be one of over 40 locations throughout Milwaukee offering in-depth tours during this weekendβs Doors Open Milwaukee festivities.
MADACC staff will provide a behind-the-scenes look at Wisconsinβs busiest animal-control facility, ground zero for almost 13,000 stray, unwanted, abandoned, mistreated and injured animals each year. Tour participants will learn about MADACCβs mission and services provided to residents across Milwaukee County, as well as the ways MADACC works to reunite pets with their owners and re-home animals that go unclaimed. A special behind-the-scenes look at the facility will be offered as well.
In-depth tours are being offered to Historic Milwaukee, Inc. members on Saturday, September 21st and Sunday, September 22nd at 11:00 a.m., 1:00 p.m., and 3:00 p.m. Anyone interested in becoming a member of Historic Milwaukee, Inc. can apply for membership by phone at 414.277.7795 or via email at info@historicmilwaukee.org. Tickets are still available for each of MADACCβs scheduled tours, but are nearing capacity.
