Oak Creek Man Busted in Greendale Fleeing Police

A 23-year-old Oak Creek man has been charged with fleeing a police officer after Greendale police attempted to stop his car on June 23.

GREENDALE, WI β€” A 23-year-old Oak Creek man has been charged with fleeing a police officer after Greendale police attempted to stop his car on June 23.

According to police on the night of June 2, a Greendale police officer attempted to stop a Dodge Avenger driven by Zachary Pieszak, 23, Oak Creek, after he reportedly failed to come to a complete stop at a
stop sign.

Police say at South 78th Street and W. Edgerton Avenue the officer attempted to stop Pieszak, however the Avenger however did not stop, and continued to drive at the speed limit.

The vehicle continued making several turns while police pursued it. Police observed the driver open the window and reach his hand out the window. The vehicle continued to travel with for several more blocks before stopping and pulling over, his criminal complaint stated.

According to police, Pieszak was removed from the vehicle and taken into custody. He admitted to not stopping for the squad, and then stated that he had thrown marijuana out from the vehicle when he was stopped at an intersection.

If he is convicted, he may be imprisoned for no more than nine months or fined more than $10,000, or both.
