School Board Passes 2018 Greendale Budget, Mill Rate To Go Down

Officials say increases in state aid have helped lower the district's mill rate.

GREENDALE, WI -- The Greendale Board of Education approved the Greendale Schools’ final 2018-2019 school-year budget and tax levy at its meeting on October 22.

District officials said their mill rate will decrease to $10.26 per thousand of equalized property value, from $11.03 last year. This is a 7 percent decrease. Based on this mill rate, the school tax bill for $200,000 home in Greendale will be $2,052 in 2018. The graph below illustrates the mill rate history since 2009-2010.
